Fun Together Time

Mondays are sometimes hard to jump into after having so much fun being together over the weekend. Saturday we enjoyed going for our morning bike ride around the neighborhoods and even found some fun books for the children at yardsales. Even though I am really slow at riding the bike, I really enjoyed getting out and doing something.

Later in the day after we all took naps together, we took a trip downtown. We parked just south of the River by Congress Ave. bridge. Then we walked all around. We were trying to go try a new restraurant that was about a mile away, but couldn't get in since it was so busy and ended up at a fast food place. Probably more enjoyable for the children anyway. Then we walked all the way back to the bridge and joined all the people waiting to see the bat colony that lives in the bridge. We really enjoyed all the fun! We finally got to see the bats! We had tried once before but it rained. It is the largest urban bat colony in the world. What a fun day we had. Here is a picture (I found online since we were unable to take a very good picture, it is from the same perspective that we saw the bats):

Sounds like good family fun! You are such good examples of being involved in your community.

Looks like fun! That is something I would love to see. We have a hard time getting into the week also. It is so fun to have daddy home and all to ourselves and then Monday morning arrives and Victoria always has her fussy time when she realizes that daddy is at work.
