We had fun news yesterday. I went to the doctor for an ultrasound, and they were able to tell us that it looks like we are having another little boy. If we can find a way of making it digital, I may add the picture. We are very excited to have another little sweet baby in our family.

David suggested that we name all the boys David and all the girls Rebecca. :-) He is always open to giving good ideas.

Summer in the Spring

I love Spring here in Texas! It happens so quickly and stays for so long. The flowers are beautiful. We enjoyed some time on campus at the University and the weather was so nice and warm.

Just today, we went and played at the park. Even though the breeze was chilly, the weather was warming up to be a very nice day! The children just love getting to play outside, and here in Texas we can do that all the time.

CROP out Hunger

Yesterday, I took the children, while Clark did some school functions, to the CROP Walk. Our church in this area participates in it every years and encourages the members to support it as well. It is a worldwide religion thing, and is fun to do. We walked a about a mile out, and then back. It represents that many people in the world have to walk that far just to get water, at then end of that mile they gave us water to drink. I don't know if the children understood that we were participating in something important or if it was just a walk to them, but they enjoyed it. The walk was through a wooded area and was very pretty.

I was thankful to get to participate this year. Since Clark wasn't able to go, I was worried about getting there; it is out of my comfort area. The walk was across the river just south of downtown Austin. We made it there and really had fun. What a blessing, and it was fun to see how many people came to participate.

Cold February?

We have had cold moments, but it feels so much like Spring! We took a trip down to San Antonio today, our monthy trip. We were able to attend the temple and to take the children to the zoo afterwards. Since we go down so often we have a pass to the zoo and have loved every minute. I think we are really learning the different kinds of animals. Today we were looking at the lions and suddenly one started roaring, the children thought it was amazing and kept talking about it for the rest of the day. What fun it is to spend time together!

Together Time

We received a call from Rebecca's nursery teacher Sunday morning and she wanted a digital picture of Clark and Rebecca together for a lesson on Fathers. We searched and found that Clark takes most of the pictures so we hurried and took this sweet picture. Rebecca has always had a special relationship with Clark. The first of the morning she will say, "Where's daddy." (Clark is usually at school already) Her happiness is always complete when she is with her father.
As I was falling asleep last night I was thinking of the great blessing it is to have such wonderful children. David is always doing little sweet things for each of us. Rebecca has such a concern for other's feelings and will be there hugging, kissing, and loving someone who is sad.

I changed things around in the children's rooms and made room for Rebecca to sleep in David's room since her room will eventually be our new baby's room. When I was putting the children to bed last night, David really wanted to have Rebecca in his room so he wouldn't be all alone, but Rebecca didn't feel quite ready to give up the crib. David started crying feeling lonely already, and Rebecca saw his tears. I told her that David really wanted her to sleep in his room, and she said, "okay." They slept too! What sweet children, with such tender feeling. Children really are a gift from our Heavenly Father. What great treasures they are.
